As a Program Associate, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Empower members to visit the centre voluntarily and participate in programmes and exercises.
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating wellness programmes, activities, and community outreach efforts aimed at enhancing the self-help capabilities of seniors and building supportive ageing-in-place communities.
  • Contribute to achieving active ageing objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the centre and its facilities, including performing cleaning duties when cleaners are unavailable.
  • Provide support for centre-based and interest group programmes during unforeseen situations or when trainers are absent.
  • Participate in ad-hoc festive events and outings as required.
  • Attend team meetings and assist with other operational duties when needed.
  • Help organise monthly or quarterly volunteer meetings to facilitate peer sharing and continuous learning.
  • Support and co-conduct training sessions with volunteer trainers on topics such as communication skills, dementia and mental health awareness, and chronic disease management.
  • Facilitate befriender-befriendee matching and regularly monitor programme effectiveness through feedback and surveys.
  • Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with service providers and grassroots partners.
  • Support volunteer development initiatives and promote volunteer sustainability.
  • Coordinate the volunteer screening process to ensure suitability and readiness.
  • Assist with home visits and support community screening efforts for seniors.
  • Engage in outreach activities to attract new members to join the centre.

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Levels with 3 years of relevant experience
