About the role

Are you a talented Head Chef looking to lead the kitchen in an exciting, high-growth semi-fine Korean restaurant? We're seeking an exceptional Head Chef to join our team in our restaurant. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

What you'll be doing

  1. Lead and manage the kitchen team, including planning menus, managing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency
  2. Develop and refine recipes to continuously improve the dining experience
  3. Monitor inventory and make purchasing decisions to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with high-quality ingredients
  4. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service
  5. Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
  6. Foster a positive and productive kitchen environment

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or 6 years of experience as a Sous Chef in Korea, preferably in a semi-fine dining or Korean restaurant setting.
  2. Strong expertise in Korean cuisine and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  3. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop kitchen staff.
  4. Exceptional organisational and time management abilities to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  5. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with the front-of-house team.
