Senior/HR & Crewing Executive

Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in shaping our workforce strategy, ensuring compliance, and fostering talent development. We are looking for a motivated HR professional with expertise in crewing, payroll, workforce planning & manpower budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Crewing Operations

  • Responsible for the planning and coordination of vessel crew changes to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies in crew management.
  • Verify crew qualifications, documentation, and flag state certification.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and medical matters for ship staff.
  • Manage end-to-end crew recruitment, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding and exit processes.
  • Participate in annual crew budget planning and manpower cost optimization.
  • Oversee the cadet progression program, ensuring structured career growth for trainees.

2. Policy & Payroll Management

  • Execution of HR policies to ensure alignment with the Employment Act and government regulations.
  • Perform crew payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.

3. Policy, Workforce Planning & Manpower Budgeting

  • Implement and review HR policies to ensure alignment with best practices, organizational goals, and statutory requirements.
  • Analyse workforce trends to support strategic manpower planning and the preparation of annual manpower budgets.
  • Foster a positive and engaged workplace culture through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.

4. General HR Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with institutions for internship and cadetship programs, as well as job fair participation.
  • Review and recommend enhancements to company benefits.
  • Work closely with recruitment and manning agents on the engagement of temporary crews and deployment of contract crews.
  • Assist with any other HR-related tasks as directed by the Head of HR.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Human Resource Management, Marine Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in managing crew rotation/schedules and compliance with industry standards.
  • Well-versed in international maritime conventions and local regulatory requirements related to crew operations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables).
  • At least 2 years of experience in multinational crewing operations, with knowledge of STCW requirements and international crewing regulations.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and a team player with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service mindset, particularly in supporting crew members.
