
Assistant Manager, Rewards and HR Operations

Assistant Manager, Rewards & HR Operations is responsible for providing centralized HR support such as, but not limited to, employee data management, payroll processing and income tax reporting, HRIS management / maintenance. The role will also provide support in rewards and benefits administration as well as in the performance management life cycle.
Responsibilities:
Rewards & Performance Management
- Support in the annual performance appraisal reviews including confirmation appraisal reviews.
- Support in the annual salary and bonus review cycle.
- Assist in rewards market surveys and benchmark the best practices to attract, reward and retain talent.
- Oversee the management and administration of the Employee Benefits Insurance programme by partnering with the insurance broker.
- Prepare salary proposals for identified hires by conducting market benchmarking
- Support in the delivery of rewards activities and projects.
- Responsible for existing and new staff welfare initiatives such as long service award event and staff recreational activities.
Manpower Planning & Budgeting
- Support in manpower planning and budgeting exercises.
- Track and prepare reports on manpower costs and projections.
- Provide manpower headcount and manpower cost commentary to requesting parties when required.
Payroll
- Handle payroll administration, resolve issues and address questions related to payroll policies and procedures to ensure staff are paid in accordance with agreed employment terms and conditions.
- Responsible for monthly CPF submissions, annual IRAS reporting and ad-hoc withholding tax and tax clearances for foreign employees.
- Prepare GL costing reports for submission to Group Finance.
- Support in the annual financial audit exercise.
Employee Life Cycle and HRIS
- Oversee employee data management such as but not limited to records entry and updates, work pass tracking and renewals.
- Accountable for the administration and maintenance of the HRIS systems such as annual closing of leave and claims and e-scheduling.
- Ensures the HRIS settings are updated such as approval workflows, entitlements, etc.
- Update and maintain HRIS details such as job titles, department, cost centre, etc as when may be required.
- Conduct exit interviews with resigning employees when necessary.
Others
- Responsible for the maintenance and updating of HR policies and manuals.
- Perform statistical analysis and reporting on manpower, employee headcount and other HR metrics.
- Support in any audit-related matters.
- Supervises reception services and HR operations.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties which may be assigned.
Education
- Degree holder in Human Resources, Business Studies or Business Administration
Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience
- 3-5 years of HR experience, with 3 years in payroll processing
- Experience in Prosoft and StaffAny systems would be advantageous
- Regional experience in shared services / payroll / compensation & benefits is advantageous
- Good knowledge of local employment laws and regulations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Collaborative skills with multi country teams
- Strong with numbers, analytically inclined and detail-oriented
- Possesses strong communication skills
- Has good ethics and able to exercise discretion
