Job description

This is a business analyst role within Trading Risk domain with primary responsibilities including understanding, assessing, and implementing the changing risk management needs of the bank's Market and ALM risk.

This role provides a balanced mixture of quantitative and qualitative exposures, with a blend of business analysis, data analysis and data visualization tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Engage with business users and stakeholders to gather, analyze, collate and understand business requirements.

  1. Produce clear and detailed user stories, business analysis and functional specifications for subsequent implementation in Market & ALM risk systems.

  2. Plan and construct project timelines, sprint goals and collaborate with technology partners to deliver solutions through an Agile framework.

  3. Devise comprehensive test plans (including test scenarios and test cases) to validate system deliverables.

  4. Conduct and manage User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, Simulation Testing and Live verifications to ensure system deliverables meet business requirements.

  5. Provide necessary supports to users in BAU context and system enhancements to ensure the solution is maintained and utilized for business outcome.

  6. Develop Data API, design and create corresponding data visualization widgets using in-house toolsets (RDI).

  7. Create and maintain all required documentation pertaining to data flow, design and process changes to a high standard for audit readiness and knowledge transfer.

  8. Drive engagement with business intelligence and digital teams to deliver business outcomes such as streamlined and structured data models and data pipelines for, standardized UI/ UX for analytical dashboards and reporting for as well as embedding gen-AI related tools into various digital initiatives within Market and ALM Risk domain.

Requirements:

1. Degree or Master in Banking/ Financial Engineering/ Computer Science/ Quantitative Finance discipline.

2. At least 3 to 8 years of relevant working experience as a business analyst, product owner or scrum-masters, familiar with system implementations and project roll-outs.

3. Proficient in SQL and database design, Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools; comfortable working with large datasets.

4. Self-driven team player with strong inter-personal, communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

5. Possess understanding and working experience in Market and/ or ALM Risk domain and able to demonstrate understanding of relevant frameworks such as FRTB, VaR, Sensitivity, LCR, NSFR, IRRBB, MCO risk measures.

6. Prior experience in implementing innovative digital/ Artificial-Intelligence solutions is an advantage
