To effectively lead and ensure the assigned EPC projects are carried out in compliance with project requirements, corporate policies and all relevant authorities' laws and regulations to deliver quality project works against project plan.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, lead and successfully complete assigned EPCC project(s) from conceptual development to handover and project closure (including completion of defects liability period), within budget, on time, and with compliance to safety standards and quality requirements.
- Coordination and communication with internal and external Stakeholders, including corporate Management, project team, internal departments and business units, Government Authorities, Project Owner / Client, Project Owner / Client Representatives, vendors, third party stakeholders related to the assigned project.
- Oversee all Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Defects correction activities of the project life cycle.
- Oversee the Schedule development, Schedule control, Review Project Risks and Progress.
- Oversee all Contractual Matters, including Bonds, insurance, Variations, Extension of Time, Contract Close-out.
- Oversee the financial matters of the project – budget, cash flow, invoices, project progress reports, claims and Variation Orders.
- Timely identification of scope deviation/variation and ensure the approval procedures are followed up and recorded.
- Review and approval of all official document submissions to Client and Authorities.
- Take part in Management site walkthrough and audits and ensure actions are taken to close the audit findings.
- Develop, assess and execute project strategies, taking scope, cost, time, safety and quality into consideration.
- Monitor and ensure progress and performance against the project plan.
- Identify and resolve operational problems; minimize delays and cost impact to project.
- Effectively communicate, lead, delegate and motivate the project team to achieve the project deliverables.
- Prioritize tasks and assignment of team members to ensure that the overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.
- Review and assign roles and responsibilities for key project personnel.
- Allocate capital and human resources to maximize productivity.
- Evaluate, propose and authorize changes that will significantly improve the scope, budget or timeline of a project.
- Ensure project compliance with project requirements, corporate policies and all relevant authorities' laws and regulations.
- Facilitate regular meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Compliance to corporate procedures in the project workflow.
- Identify project risk and opportunities.
- Maintain risk management focus throughout the project duration.
Requirements
- B.S. or equivalent degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant working experience in Oil & Gas or Energy Infrastructure projects.
- At least 8 years of outstanding project management experience in major LNG & Oil and Gas projects, preferably with FSRU.
- Preferably with specific experience in Asia for renowned clients
- Excellent interpersonal, management, leadership and communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
- Proactive, strong strategic thinking capabilities, passion for continuous improvement.
- Willing to travel overseas for business trips.
- Willing to be relocated to the assigned project site.
- Willing to multi-task for multiple assignments (such as being the Project Manager for multiple low value projects; or be involved in project tendering during project execution), if required.
