Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Business Analyst who can bridge functional finance requirements with robust technical execution. This role will be embedded closely with the Finance Department to drive system enhancements, streamline reporting workflows, and accelerate decision-making through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate blends financial domain understanding with hands-on exposure to C#, SQL databases, and enterprise application ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance SMEs to translate operational, reporting, and compliance needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Drive requirements elicitation sessions, perform gap analysis, and shape end-to-end solution designs that align with finance workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support development activities involving C#, .NET components, and database-driven processes.
  • Validate system logic, run UAT cycles, and ensure seamless user adoption across finance stakeholders.
  • Lead data mapping, schema reviews, and SQL-based validation to ensure data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Oversee enhancements, change requests, and continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems.
  • Develop SOPs, user guides, and training materials to uplift system literacy within the Finance Department.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to track KPIs, automate manual processes, and introduce best-practice governance.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting finance or accounting teams.
  • Sound understanding of finance processes such as AP, AR, GL, month-end closing, asset management, or cost allocation.
  • Working knowledge of C#/.NET concepts and ability to engage effectively with developers.
  • Strong SQL and database skills with hands-on experience in data extraction, validation, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with workflow engines, financial systems, or ERP environments (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable deliverables.
  • Analytical mindset with a continuous-improvement approach.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in Business Analysis (IIBA/CBAP) or Accounting (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) will be advantageous.
