We are looking for a highly motivated medical laboratory technologist/medical lab scientist (MLT/MLS) to join our dynamic team at Eastern General Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clinical diagnostics, strong leadership abilities and a commitment in delivering quality patient care.

As an MLT/MLS In-charge, you will

Assist the Head of Section/Pathologist-in-charge in the planning of laboratory service and nesting of laboratory staff for the section.

Manage the day-to-day operation of the laboratory.

Provide scientific and technical expertise necessary to deliver a high-quality laboratory service.

Ensure effective allocation of available resources to meet service delivery in the laboratory.

Work with Manager (Laboratory Medicine) on the career development of staff within the section.

Requirements:

·       Recognised post-graduate qualification in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent, with minimum 3 years of relevant job experience and demonstrated competency, or

·       Recognised degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent, with minimum 6 years of relevant job experience and demonstrated competency.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

·       Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
