Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations to assess the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of residents.
- Develop and implement tailored therapy programs to improve residents' functional abilities and overall well-being.
- Continuously evaluate and document progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
- Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on therapeutic techniques and approaches.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with organizational policies and standards.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings to contribute to service delivery improvements.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care.
- Engage in orientation and educational programs to enhance knowledge and skills within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in geriatrics or long-term care.
- Able to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
