West Region, Singapore St. Andrew's Community Hospital Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Responsibilities:

· Carry out assessment of all clients referred.

· Work out individual care plan and treatment goals for each client.

· Provide occupational therapy treatment.

· Cover the duties of the other Occupational Therapist in the team.

· Supervise Therapy Assistants (TAs) and volunteers helping in relevant areas.

· Supervise Occupational Therapist who are under conditional registration.

· Provide clinical supervision for undergraduate OT students attached to the institute.

· Be involved in training of the TAs and caregivers.

· Participate in quality improvement or research projects.

· Be involved in training and education of the team in aspects related to occupational therapy.

· Report on Key Performance Indicators of the OT program to the Head, Community Therapy Services on a monthly or quarterly basis.

· Maintain adequate manpower by discrete approval of leave requests by Junior OTs or TAs.

· Cover for clinical duties of OT at another work site under Community Therapy Services as and when required.

· Carry out other duties when assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Recognized degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Must have full registration with the Allied Health Professional Council.
  • Experience Preferably at least 1 year's experience.
  • Must enjoy working with elderly patients, especially for patients with neurological or musculoskeletal problems or mental health conditions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are required
