Group Audit (GAudit) is an independent governance function at Munich Re, supporting the Audit Committee and Board of Management in executing their tasks and strategic initiatives. Through our key offerings—Standard Audit, Sprint Audit, and Advisory Reports—we deliver impactful, agile, and collaborative auditing services to clients worldwide.

As part of the Global Audit Community, we evaluate whether processes, structures, systems, and activities across the group comply with internal and external requirements. We provide guidance to divisional units, central divisions, and subsidiaries on designing and documenting effective internal control systems, as well as on broader governance topics.

We are seeking a Data Analytics Intern for January to May 2026. In this role, you will report to the Actuarial Auditor APAC & MEA and work closely with the Global Data Analytics and AI Core team. This internship offers hands-on experience in applying advanced analytics and AI to audit processes, supporting audit fieldwork and contributing to the broader goal of democratizing data analytics and AI across the audit community.

Your Role

• Contribute to the development and deployment of data analytics and AI solutions to enhance audit effectiveness.
• Assist in SharePoint analysis in the assessment of data quality, design and implementation of Power BI dashboards, and exploration of practical AI use cases for audit.
• Support the coordination and implementation of data analytics initiatives to enhance productivity and impact across regions.
• Apply advanced analytics during audit fieldwork, including real-time data extraction, cleansing, and interpretation to support audit objectives.
• Document and share best practices and use cases to foster knowledge sharing and the democratisation of data analytics and AI within the audit community.

Your Profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Hands-on exposure to data analytics and AI through university coursework or internship experience.
• Familiar with tools such as Power BI, R, Python, and SQL.
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a multicultural environment and is eager to learn and share knowledge.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve results.
