Job description:
Duties such as but are not limited to:
- Maintain and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, medications, and hospital materials.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates to inventory records in EzyVet, including entering and updating invoices.
- Assist with procurement, ordering, and receiving stock, checking deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Implement processes and maintain compliance around controlled drug handling.
- Organise, label, and rotate stock to ensure efficient accessibility and usage.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Work closely with veterinary staff to forecast inventory needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Support the implementation of inventory management policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to hospital management.
- Promote a collaborative and supportive team culture across departments.
Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations, preferably in a veterinary, medical, or pharmaceutical setting.
- Experience handling controlled substances in compliance with AVS regulations is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., EzyVet, Microsoft Excel).
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with veterinary staff and management.
