Job description:

Duties such as but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, medications, and hospital materials.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to inventory records in EzyVet, including entering and updating invoices.
  • Assist with procurement, ordering, and receiving stock, checking deliveries for accuracy and quality.
  • Implement processes and maintain compliance around controlled drug handling.
  • Organise, label, and rotate stock to ensure efficient accessibility and usage.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Work closely with veterinary staff to forecast inventory needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Support the implementation of inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to hospital management.
  • Promote a collaborative and supportive team culture across departments.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations, preferably in a veterinary, medical, or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Experience handling controlled substances in compliance with AVS regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., EzyVet, Microsoft Excel).
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with veterinary staff and management.
