About the Roles
This permanent position for a Cook (Central Kitchen) or Kitchen Assistant is based in Macpherson with a six-day workweek. The role offers a competitive package of up to $2800, along with overtime pay, AWS, and a performance bonus, making it an attractive opportunity within the F&B and catering industry.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes and portions.
- Carry out cutting, portioning, and daily food preparation tasks.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste.
- Uphold cleanliness and follow all food safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and conducting inventory checks.
- Coordinate with chefs and team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support recipe testing and R&D initiatives when required.
- Handle additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.
What We're Looking For
- One to two years of experience working in a central kitchen, catering setup, or restaurant.
- Fundamental skills in cooking and food preparation.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving and demanding environment.
- Willingness to work during peak periods, including weekends and public holidays.
