About the Roles
We are hiring a Cook (Central Kitchen) or Kitchen Assistant (Central Kitchen) for a permanent position based in Macpherson. The role requires working 6 days a week, offering a salary package of up to $2800, along with overtime pay, AWS, and a performance bonus.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and cook dishes according to standard recipes and portion sizes.
- Handle daily tasks such as cutting, portioning, and prepping ingredients.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet set standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen while adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock checks.
- Collaborate with chefs and team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with new recipe trials and research & development when needed.
- Take on other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management and supervisors.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 2 years of experience working in a central kitchen, catering, or restaurant setting.
- Basic skills in cooking and food preparation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work during peak periods, including weekends and public holidays.
