We are looking for a Financial Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI and a solid understanding of financial processes. This role will primarily focus on coordinating the financial aspects of Power BI system implementation and development projects, translating business needs into practical, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Project Lead and serve as a key liaison between the Finance & Accounting department, IT and external consultants during Power BI implementation and development projects.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and visualizations using Power BI.
  • Connect and transform data from multiple sources including SQL databases, Excel, cloud platforms, and APIs.
  • Build and optimize data models, implement DAX measures, and ensure performance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
  • Implement row-level security (RLS), data refresh schedules, and government best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation including data dictionaries, ETL process documentation, dashboard user manuals, and SOPs.
  • Develop training materials and user guides for internal users to navigate and interpret Power BI reports.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, concise, and aligned with organizational standards.

Qualifications & Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial reporting development using Power BI, including participation in at least one full-cycle of implementation.
  • Demonstrate experience with Microsoft Power Platform and familiar with Power BI Report Server and REST APIs.
  • Proficient in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling techniques.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong time management and project organizational abilities.
  • Strong attention to details, able to work independently and think critically.
