You want to move ahead in marketing communications and want to learn how to start taking some lead in projects. You understand social media and its impact in today's digital world of influencers and Youtube stars. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  1. Pitching and managing media / influencer interviews and queries
  2. Researching, writing and distributing media kit materials (i.e. press release, fact sheet, speech) to targeted media
  3. Writing and editing in-house publications, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports
  4. Content creation for social media platforms e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  5. Monitoring, collating and analysing media/social media coverage
  6. Organising events such as media/influencer luncheons, media conferences and media tours
  7. Active support in new business opportunities
  8. Planning, developing and implementing integrated PR strategies and campaigns (media and social media)

In addition, an Assistant Account Manager should be well versed in the following areas

  • Pitching to and managing media / influencer interviews and queries
  • Managing and training a team of PR executives
  • Active support in new business proposals
  • Planning, developing and implementing integrated PR strategies and campaigns (media and social media)

QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED

A degree and diploma in any subject is acceptable, although English, journalism, media studies and mass communications are preferred. In-house or Agency experience in corporate communications or public relations will be advantageous. Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience is needed.
