Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chinese lessons aligned with the MOE syllabus and PSLE exam requirements
  • Focus on key areas: composition, comprehension, oral communication, and vocabulary building
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and practice papers tailored for different learning levels
  • Assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate regularly with parents about learning strategies and student progress
  • Support the academic team in curriculum enhancement and sharing of best practices
  • Participate in training sessions, centre meetings, and tuition centre events (e.g., Open Houses, workshops)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chinese, Education, or related field
  • At least 1–2 years of teaching experience in a tuition centre, enrichment school, or MOE school (PSLE level preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore MOE Chinese syllabus and PSLE requirements
  • Patient, passionate about teaching, and skilled in classroom management
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English to communicate effectively with parents and students
  • Able to work evenings and weekends according to tuition centre class schedules
