Company is Animal Specialist & Emergency Hospital, a 24-hour veterinary hospital in Singapore that specializes in emergency and referral care for animals.

Summary

  • 4 days work week, 12 hours shift
  • Salary range $9000-$15000 (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver emergency and critical care to small animals and exotic pets during assigned shifts.
  • Participate in daily rounds at the beginning and end of each shift to discuss inpatient cases.
  • Conduct consultations for emergency cases during both day and night shifts.
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, emergency surgeries, and advanced treatments as needed.
  • Carry out appropriate diagnostic tests, including TFAST and AFAST ultrasounds, blood work, radiographs, endoscopy, and CT scans.
  • Analyse diagnostic results and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Stabilize and manage critically ill animals suffering from trauma, poisoning, or acute conditions.
  • Prescribe medications based on diagnostic findings and physical assessments.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians, support staff, and specialists across departments to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans for emergency patients.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and up-to-date medical records, including diagnoses, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Refer patients to external veterinary clinics when necessary, providing timely updates and discharge summaries to referring vets.
  • Manage a high caseload while maintaining professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Uphold veterinary ethical standards and adhere to clinic protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Certificate holder in ECC
  • Endoscopy/gastroscopy skills are advantageous
  • Veterinary degree must be recognised by the AVA in Singapore
