Beecroft Animal Specialist & Emergency Hospital provides compassionate, collaborative, and high-quality veterinary services for small animals and exotic pets.

Be part of a busy exotic animal department located within a specialist-owned Emergency and Specialist Hospital in the metropolitan city of Singapore.

We have all the bells and whistles—endoscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI, radiography, and a full in-house laboratory. The exotics department is run by a boarded ECM specialist and staffed by an ECM resident and associate veterinarian.

We have 24-hour emergency coverage provided by the ECC team overnight and access to a boarded internist, neurologist, and surgeon.

Role Description:

The Vet Intern / Junior Exotics Veterinarian is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role is designed for new or early-career veterinarians with a keen interest in exotic animal medicine. The successful candidate will support the exotics team in providing care to a wide range of exotic species, including birds, reptiles, and small mammals. Responsibilities will include assisting with medical examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures, while learning under the guidance of our board-certified specialists. The intern will also participate in daily rounds, case discussions, and contribute to patient care and client communication.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in Singapore
  • Strong interest in exotic animal medicine
  • Experience with birds, reptiles, or small mammals is advantageous but not essential
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow within a supportive specialist team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Working Hours

Willing to work on weekends & public holidays
