Avian & Exotics Veterinary Nurse

Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our Avian & Exotics Department. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinarians and specialists, caring for some of the most unique and fascinating patients in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with consultations, diagnostics, and procedures for avian & exotic species.
- Perform anesthesia monitoring and recovery under veterinary supervision.
- Safely handle and restrain birds, reptiles, and small mammals.
- Provide inpatient care including feeding, fluid therapy, enrichment, and monitoring.
- Carry out diagnostic procedures such as blood draws, IV placement, radiographs, and lab tests.
- Educate and support clients on proper husbandry, nutrition, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with discharges.
- Ensure hospital cleanliness, including cages, brooders, and patient areas.
- Participate in daily rounds, professional development, and continuing education.
Requirements:
Junior Nurse
- Diploma in Veterinary Technology or relevant nursing qualification.
- At least 1 year of work experience in the veterinary industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Senior Nurse
- Degree or Diploma in Veterinary Technology (or equivalent).
- At least 5 years of work experience in the veterinary industry.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
