The Opportunity:OpenText Professional Services Principal Architect Services Practice role focuses on working with our strategic customers and understanding their challenges, requirements and use cases around initiatives such as Solution implementation using OpenText suite of products through services delivery.

The Principal Architect designs impactful solutions and experiences that cross disciplines, bring together people and technology, and enable end-end Enterprise implementation. They're experts in enterprise architecture, software development, information security, and good understanding of OpenText suite of products. While collaborating with customers and sales, the Principal Architect will be required to dig deep with customers on their specific challenges, adopt the customer mindset in all aspects, and help create detailed solutions for the customer.

Create solutions which show the broader value of OTPS services solutions and at times in conjunction with strategic partnersWork with Product Development and Leadership to shape customer demands for product areas. Develop cross functional team members according to the demands of the business and according to their individual professional goalsExperience and understanding of multiple technical domains - application, data, integration, big data, mobility, analytics, BPM, CEM/CCM, etc.

Intrinsically curious and passionate about researching current and emerging technologies and developing innovative solutionsFacilitate and participate in the delivery of workshops, best practice and educational sessions with customers and partnersUnderstands the business requirements, proposes the solution considering the current & future roadmap of customer. Offers design choices with their pros and cons and recommends the best design suited for the given context. Identifies and manages the requirements and Change requests effectively for consistent communication with all the stakeholdersDesigns and programs complex modules of an application taking into consideration the functional and non-functional aspectsTakes ownership of solution quality.

Actively and effectively reviews design, source code, takes defect prevention steps in software developmentProvides high level work estimates and assists in task planning & task allocationMentors technical architects and senior engineers within the team, guides them in their workPassionate about new technologies/innovations happening around. Constantly upgradesknowledge on latest technologies and standardsShould be able to conceptualize and build high quality demos for marketing or analyst briefings, pre-sales opportunitiesTravel within the country and abroad as per project needs What

It Takes:Should have very good problem solving, analytical, design and Business Consultant skills. He/she should be strong in analysis and design with good work experience in Data analytics, business intelligence, BPM, CEM, ECM, reporting & data visualizations. Has exposure & experience in providing the best end user experience for data visualizations & dashboardsHands on experience in Actuate-BIRT / BDA Analytics are preferredExperience in public sector, Banking, Financial services & Insurance domainsFamiliarity with software development lifecycle and software estimation is a must.

As a technical leader, should be able to influence others in the team by clearly articulating the reasons and providing justifications for technical decisions madeMust have experience in engaging and interacting with customersShould possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
