Position Overview
As part of the SAP COE, the Planning and Contract team is responsible for planning and management of SAP demands, contract management, reporting and governance, optimising and ensuring compliance with SAP licenses, allowing usage with business needs while minimising costs and risks.
Role & Responsibilities
- Engage Solution and Governance team and SMEs in roadmap planning for upcoming projects
- Optimise license demand to improve commercial terms
- Manage and administer SAP licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements
- Optimise license allocation, renewals and utilisation to control costs and manage audit readiness
- Ensure compliance with SAP licensing agreements and stay updated on licensing policies
- Work with solution architects to align license procurement and cost optimisation
- Standardise contracting terms for consistency
- Track and maximise benefits from contracts and licenses (eg. Training, certifications)
- Provide expert guidance to clusters on SAP licensing strategy
- Plan initiatives across SAP landscape with TCO view
- Manage SAP IT budgets aligned to business cycles
- Prepare structured updates for executive leadership
- Document compliance controls and audit trail for SAP changes
- Lead workshops to align planning with strategic goals
- Monitor KPIs and create dashboards for CoE effectiveness
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in SAP capabilities
- Strong leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently
- Confidence to engage effectively with senior management and leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical subjects into clear and concise communications for a variety of key stakeholders at different levels
