Why Join
Be part of the dynamic Global Investment Banking team at OCBC, where you'll contribute to the success of our divisional office. As an Investment Banking Support Intern, you'll have the opportunity to develop your analytical and technical skills, working closely with our team to drive business growth and excellence. You'll gain hands-on experience in budget planning, financial reporting, and presentation preparation, while building a deeper understanding of the investment banking industry.
How you succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need to be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You'll be a quick learner, able to adapt to changing priorities, and have a strong sense of curiosity. Your ability to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels will be crucial in building relationships and driving results.
What you do
Your responsibilities will include:
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: assist in the preparation of financial reports and slides, utilizing MS Excel and Bloomberg to analyze and present data.
• Budget Planning: contribute to the planning and preparation of budgets, developing your understanding of financial planning and management.
• Meeting and Townhall Support: assist in the logistics of meetings and townhalls, ensuring seamless execution and coordination.
• Presentation Preparation: develop your presentation skills by preparing slides and materials for various stakeholders.
• Ad-hoc tasks: provide support on other projects and tasks as assigned.

You will be working closely with our team in the Divisional Office, which is responsible for supporting the Global Investment Banking business. Our team is dynamic, fast-paced, and always looking for ways to innovate and improve our processes. Who you are
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, with a passion for finance and analytics
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and familiarity with Excel macro and VBA
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
• Effective communicator, with excellent presentation skills and the ability to distill complex financial data into clear, concise insights
• Collaborative team player, able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
Learning Objectives
This internship will provide you with:
• Hands-on experience in financial analysis and reporting, including budget planning and preparation of financial reports and slides
• Opportunities to develop your project management skills, including coordinating meetings and townhalls
• Exposure to the inner workings of a global investment banking team, including interaction with senior leaders and stakeholders
• Development of your technical skills, including advanced Excel techniques and data visualization best practices
