Senior Consultant Communications

The Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC) is part of a network of 150 offices of the German bilateral Chambers of Industry and Commerce abroad in 93 countries, and one of the largest and most active international chambers in Singapore.

The Membership, Events and Communications department actively organises a variety of
B2B dialogue and networking events, which are interactive platforms for policymakers, key
opinion leaders and members to exchange insights that drive businesses today. Additionally,
members are provided with relevant business information through committee meetings,
business symposiums, chamber publications, and more.

We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant Communications in our Membership, Events & Communications Department

Job Scope:
Writing/Publications

  • Lead content creation for three annual publications
  • Source advertisement revenue and manage related outreach
  • Liaise with designers and printers to ensure timely production
  • Own the full publication process from concept to delivery
  • Prepare and distribute the weekly e-newsletter
  • Write pre- and post-event social media content
  • Prepare scripts and speeches for President / ED / DGM / Moderators at Events

Branding and Communications (Internal & External)

  • Supervise compliance with corporate ID and branding for internal and external communication
  • Ensure brand and content consistency ("core message") across all platforms and materials
  • Create content and campaigns and event materials to engage members and stakeholders

Media Relations with Local Media (When Needed)

  • Execute media outreach strategies
  • Maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets
  • Draft and distribute press releases
  • Prepare talking points and content for media inquiries
  • Monitor and report media coverage and relevant trends
  • Support media visibility of events and campaigns

Events (Supporting Role, if needed)

  • Organisational and on-site support for events

  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to understand requirements and deliver
  • Work effectively in a multi-cultural working environment
  • Meticulous working style with attention to details
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Experience in publishing
  • Open mindedness / Friendly demeanour
  • Work towards tight deadlines

Your profile

  • 2-4 years working experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Outgoing personality who likes to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in verbal and written English, as all communication and publications are in English language
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Team player
  • Hands-on working style, service oriented
  • Eager to learn and interested in various industry topics
