**Description**

The Global Construction and Infrastructure (GCI) division at Caterpillar is seeking a Strategic Communications Consultant to provide communications leadership to its internal employee communication and people strategy.

This role provides communications consulting to business unit leaders and HR in the development and production of employee-facing communication deliverables. The incumbent assists in leading the development of department and division communication strategies, provides consulting to employees to drive a positive employee experience, supports the division's onboarding and employee engagement strategy and serves as a support to the Communications Lead on Division strategy.

**Duties**

As the Strategic Communications Consultant, you will have responsibility for several division communication channels including newsletters, web sites, videos, streaming media, employee meetings, displays, photographs, presentations, special events, cascades, etc. This position also plays a key role in the leader development and communication strategy. Strong writing and creative content creation skills are a must.

**Basic Qualifications**

College or university degree in communications or equivalent experience

5+ years of job-related experience is typically required, preferably as a business unit or corporate communicator

Desire to support strategic HR initiatives and a passion for enhancing organizational culture

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Strong writing skills and experience

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside of the department
