Our Client

Our client, a publicly traded company listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX), is currently in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

Devise and execute financial strategies and business plans aligning with the company's objectives, meeting shareholder expectations, and ensuring compliance with SGX regulations. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with SGX requirements. Manage the company's capital structure, encompassing capital raising, debt management, and dividend policies, while optimizing capital allocation.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Ensure accurate and timely preparation and presentation of financial statements, annual reports, and disclosures in adherence to SGX listing rules and Singaporean financial regulations, including the SGX-ST Listing Manual. Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process, maintaining financial transparency and regulatory compliance.

Investor Relations and Stakeholder Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact for investor relations, fostering strong relationships with shareholders, analysts, and the investment community. Effectively convey the company's financial performance, strategies, and risk factors to investors and stakeholders through various channels, including annual general meetings (AGMs).

Risk Management and Governance:

Identify, assess, and manage financial risks in line with SGX regulations and corporate governance standards. Implement and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and financial integrity, in compliance with SGX's corporate governance code.

Tax and Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with Singaporean tax laws, encompassing tax planning, transfer pricing, and withholding tax requirements. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and updates from SGX and other relevant authorities, adapting the company's financial strategy and reporting accordingly.

Treasury Management:

Efficiently oversee cash flow, liquidity, and working capital, optimizing treasury functions while adhering to SGX's financial and liquidity requirements.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Corporate Finance:

Lead financial due diligence and analysis for potential M&A activities and strategic investments, adhering to SGX's acquisition and disposal rules. Participate in fundraising efforts, including equity or debt issuances, and manage the use of proceeds in accordance with SGX requirements.

Team Leadership and Development:

Establish and lead a high-performing finance team, offering guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development. Ethical and Legal Compliance:

Ensure ethical conduct in financial activities, compliance with SGX regulations, and adherence to the company's code of ethics.

Qualifications & Experiences:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (a master's degree or CPA/CFA certification may be preferred).

Extensive experience in finance and accounting leadership roles, demonstrating a track record of managing finances in SGX-listed companies or other publicly traded entities. Strong understanding of Singaporean financial regulations and SGX listing rules.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Strategic thinking and the ability to provide financial insights for decision-making.

High ethical standards and a commitment to corporate governance.
