Job Description
We are seeking an ambitious and strategically-minded Marketplace and Platform Executive to own the growth and development of our key digital channels. This role is ideal for a candidate with 2-3 years of experience ready to step into a leadership position focused on strategic growth planning, optimizing user experience (UI/UX), and building a thriving partner ecosystem. You will be responsible for turning market insights into actionable strategies that drive user acquisition, increase transaction volume, and enhance the overall platform value.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Growth Strategy
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive short- and long-term strategies to achieve key marketplace growth KPIs (e.g., GMV, active users, conversion rates).
- Performance Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to monitor platform performance, identify commercial opportunities, and conduct A/B testing to validate new growth initiatives.
- Campaign Management: Plan and oversee the execution of promotional activities, sales campaigns, and pricing strategies to maximize marketplace revenue and user engagement.
User Interface and Experience (UI/UX)
- User Journey Optimization: Strategize and propose improvements to the platform's user interface and overall experience to enhance site stickiness, reduce friction, and increase conversion rates across the customer journey.
- Feature Advocacy: Act as the voice of the user and the business, working closely with technical and design teams to prioritize and launch new platform features and functionality.
- Content Strategy: Ensure optimal presentation of products and services through compelling content, accurate listings, and enhanced visual merchandising that adheres to brand standards.
Ecosystem and Partnership Development (Strategic Focus)
- Ecosystem Vision & Growth: Own the vision and strategy for platform ecosystem development, actively researching market gaps and articulating actionable plans to integrate technology and service partners that drive new revenue streams and platform stickiness.
- Strategic Partnership Execution: Identify, evaluate, and execute the onboarding of strategic technology partners and key high-value sellers, ensuring partnerships are mutually beneficial and significantly enhance the marketplace's value proposition.
- Vendor and Integration Management: Serve as the primary driver for high-level vendor relationships and oversee the technical and commercial success of new integrations, collaborating across internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and quality control from all partners.
Operational Excellence & Fulfillment Oversight
- Order Fulfillment Optimization: Oversee and analyze the end-to-end order processing cycle to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that reduce lead times and maximize customer satisfaction (CSAT).
- Inventory Management Strategy: Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize inventory allocation for the platform, ensuring stock accuracy and minimizing overselling/stockouts, especially for high-demand items.
- Service and Replacement Process: Strategically review and optimize the fulfillment process for service requests (e.g., product replacements), ensuring a smooth, efficient, and satisfactory post-purchase experience that reinforces customer loyalty.
- Logistics Performance: Monitor the performance of courier and logistics partners, leveraging data to drive continuous improvement in delivery reliability and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience in e-commerce, digital platform management, marketplace operations, or a related strategic role. (Fresh graduates with demonstrably relevant internship or project experience are welcome to apply.)
- Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to transition from operational tasks to strategic thinking, with a proven track record of driving quantifiable digital growth (e.g., through SEO, conversion rate optimization, or new feature launches).
- UX/UI Focus: Strong understanding of fundamental UX/UI principles and the ability to articulate how design choices impact conversion and user behavior.
- Ecosystem Mindset: Appreciation for how multiple partners and technologies can be integrated to create a cohesive platform value proposition.
- Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in major e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and strong skills in data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel/Sheets).
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in Chinese required to liaise effectively with key China suppliers and vendors.
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field.
