Purpose and Scope

• The BIM Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling processes across design and construction phases within the built environment. This role ensures model accuracy, consistency, and compliance with BIM standards and project requirements. The BIM Coordinator facilitates collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, oversees clash detection and model integration, and supports digital workflows to enhance project efficiency, coordination, and decision-making.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager to improve work standards, processes and techniques in using BIM and other BIM related tools.
• Assist in maintaining established BIM standards and workflow.
• Assist to plan, manage and maintain the BIM data to meet project deliverable requirements.
• Assist with on-the-job training of modeller on the use of BIM software and modelling techniques including but not limited to AutoDesk Revit (Architecture/Civil & Structural/Mechanical/Electrical), Naviswork, etc
• Enforce BIM strategies, processes and standards, model content and quality control for his discipline/ assigned scope of works.
• Implement and manage BIM Execution plan.
• Manage process of information inflow / inputs, exchange, collaboration and coordination of BIM data with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate and liaise with project / construction team on submissions, updates or changes, and checking for clashes with other disciplines.
• Perform interference checking in BIM software and maintain proper documentation of clash detection report.
• Participate in design and model coordination meetings and reviews sessions.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time
• Ensure the smooth completion of the project

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Diploma / Higher NITEC in Architectural, Civil / Structural Engineering, MEP, with BIM Certifications from BCA or its relevant discipline
• Expert knowledge in the use of BIM tools for design / construction documentation for all stages of the development phases from project inception till completion/handover to users.
• Possesses good interpersonal skills for BIM coordination and collaborative processes.
• Interest in working using software and technologies and BIM model creation.
