Audit Internship Programme – 2026

About the Group Internal Audit Investigations (GIAI)Team

Group Internal Audit Investigations (GIAI) is an independent function that plays a vital role in supporting the Standard Chartered Board and Executive Management within Global Functions. With a clear purpose to safeguard the Group's assets, reputation, and long-term sustainability, GIAI operates as the Bank's third line of defence.

It provides independent assurance over the effectiveness of controls implemented by business management - the first line - and the risk frameworks and policies maintained by control owners - the second line. Through rigorous audit practices and a commitment to integrity, GIAI helps ensure that governance, risk management, and internal controls are not only in place but functioning effectively across the organisation.
