Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks

In SAP Business Suite CSM, our people and our culture are central to our success Senior Solution Customer Success Manager demonstrate skills and knowledge in cloud and on-premise renewal strategy, deal architecture, customer negotiation, internal navigation of commercial and legal teams and lead the successful renewal executions in on-premise and cloud. This role, in alignment with internal roles, is responsible for the following topics in regard to SAP support offerings:

  • Promote and evangelize the Maintenance Support offerings
  • Be the first line of support for customers looking for SAP policy based maintenance adjustments
  • Minimize maintenance at risk (MAR), within the assigned Market Unit
  • Commercial Management of SAP Programs
  • Drive Customer Value realization (customer value journey)

Expectations and Tasks

  • Ability to comfortably present to both internal and external customers
  • Support deal execution in the regions as needed, including education of customers' procurement and legal groups, in regards to a Maintenance Contract.
  • Subject Matter Expert for all SAP Extension Policies (Cloud/On-Prem/Cloud to Cloud)
  • Directly interact with GM, VPs, AEs, CPs, and customers to position the value of SAP's Maintenance Solutions as supported by value propositions.
  • Educate and enable field sales on Renewals and Commercial Management tools, strategies, and opportunities (AE/SE, etc.).
  • Engage partner support / awareness of SAP Maintenance offering.
  • Provide reporting as required to management, and keep CRM accurate and current

Experience & Language Requirements

  • Experience in a business operations role with ability to influence different stakeholders using strong relationship and communication skills
  • Cloud subscription contract management experience would be a plus
  • Services Sales Oriented: possessing the ability to diagnose, analyze, and succinctly discuss customer problems, develop the urgency to solve those problems, and commit customers to a realistic plan of action that will produce mutually beneficial results.
  • Competitive Selling: extensive experience that allows for a state of preparedness and competitive awareness to maximize competitive advantage in selling through the anticipation of competitive strategies and tactics.
  • Ability to work through multiple SAP commercial software systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in excel and any other reporting tools
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks while being process oriented.
  • Communicate clearly both orally and in written form and proven ability to build strong relationships.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent comparable experience
