Job Description

The Aircon Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This role requires technical expertise in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The Aircon Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that air conditioning systems are functioning optimally and that all service tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Installing new equipment and machinery
  • Installing the necessary components of an air conditioning systems such as the compressor, condenser and evaporator
  • Maintenance on air conditioning systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Inspecting and testing equipment to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs
  • Repairing or replacing defective parts, such as motors, belts, gears, and electrical components
  • Troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery, such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed
  • Collaborating with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Following safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Keeping up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in the field of maintenance and repair
  • Providing technical support to customers or clients
  • Any other tasks or duties assigned by the Company

Job Requirements

  • Min. 2 years of related work experience
  • NITEC or equivalent
  • Able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
