Brief Description about the company:
This role sits within the Front Office of a private bank, providing direct support to management (Business Heads) and work alongside bankers to ensure efficient and
effective running of the business. Candidate will be involved in strategic planning, operational assistance and contribute to the growth of business. This internship role supports the Front Office team of Global South Asia (GSA) market.

Job Description:
The intern will work closely with Business Heads in driving business strategies and delivering data insights:

1)    Implement and support GSA strategic initiatives
a.    Perform market research and intelligence gathering (internal & external)
b.    Develop strategy papers and business plans
c.    Monitor progress, highlight opportunities and issues and provide actionable insights 
2)    Support Market Group Head/Market Head/Team Head in financial and performance analysis
a.    Prepare weekly and monthly management reports; such as
i.    Key metrics and KPI tracking, forecast and simulations
ii.    Pipeline collation and management
iii.    Progress updates of strategic initiatives
b.    Track and follow up of Source-of-Wealth Uplift Review (SUR) and other initiatives
c.    Prepare management presentations which includes data analysis, key findings/summaries, management talking points and recommendations
3)    Build data analytics capability
a.    Assist with book screening for investment/product targeting
b.    Assist in ad-hoc analysis
i.    Support ad-hoc analysis
ii.    New metrics/insights to be evaluated and integrated into BAU to enhance current sales management process
4)    Support GSA market in building a strong and positive culture
a.    Support ongoing people/employee engagement activities and events
b.    Collaborate with cross-functional/cross-business stakeholders and functions to achieve optimal outcomes for the bank
c.    Foster and promote a culture of excellence and best practices sharing and adoption across the business management/intern community/bank

Key skills and requirement:
1)    Strong analytical skills, with experience in conducting comprehensive market research and competitive intelligence gathering.
2)    Strong presentation skills, with ability to develop detailed strategic competitive analysis, translate findings into actionable business insights and preparing Senior Management decks.
3)    Proficiency in data analytics tools, including SQL, Power BI, DAX, Power Query and Excel pivot tables. VBA and Python skills are a plus.
4)    The ideal candidate should have a proactive attitude, strong planning skills, effective stakeholder management abilities and the capability to deliver agreed outcomes.
5)    Prior internship or academic projects involving strategic planning, market research, or business analysis is a plus.
