The Career Education Manager supports the Career Education team and plays a pivotal role in advancing NTU's mission of enhancing students' career readiness and employment outcomes. This role is responsible for the strategic planning, development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of large-scale, credit-bearing career education programmes for over 6,000 undergraduate students as well as other e-courses and booster career workshops that impact another 1,000 undergraduates and postgraduates annually. The programmes include and are not limited to ML0004, ML0015, postgraduate e-courses with PACE, NTU Honours College Personal Development programmes and career booster workshops.

Key Responsibilities

1. Programme Development

  • Design and continuously improve career education suite of programmes that are relevant to industry and student development needs.
  • Lead the development and curation of key programmes - ML4, ML15, Postgraduate, Personal Development, Career Booster workshops.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and NTU depts (eg NTU Honours College) to co-create relevant career courses, workshops and programmes tailored to different student segments (undergraduates, postgraduates, schools).
  • Provide guidance on curriculum development, learning outcomes, and instructional design principles.
  • Identify, source, evaluate, and engage suitable external training consultants.

2. Programme Management

  • Lead the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale credit-bearing career courses, online modules, and booster workshops.
  • Drive the planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale credit-bearing career courses for 6,000 students, e-courses and booster workshops - ML4, ML15, Postgraduate, Personal Development, Career Booster workshops.
  • Implement the smooth operational delivery, including scheduling, resourcing, and coordinating logistics for in-person and online courses and workshops.
  • Source, procure and collaborate with external trainers to deliver impactful learning experiences.
  • Oversee the publicity and communication of career programmes to maximize students' awareness and participation.
  • Analyse student feedback to improve workshop content and delivery.
  • Establish data and reports to measure the effectiveness and impact of career programmes (eg participation rates, satisfaction ratings).
  • Manage an annual CE budget of $100K.

3. Stakeholder Collaborations

  • Build and lead strong partnerships with NTU's Colleges, Schools, and external providers to deliver industry relevant, high-quality career programmes and workshops.
  • Forge partnerships with CAO teams, ICC Office, NTU Honours College, PACE, Schools/Colleges etc to implement relevant career programmes.
  • Represent Career Education at CAO and NTU collaboration-discussions on career programmes and workshops.
  • Lead engagement with external vendors and ensure consistent delivery through regular evaluation and feedback.

Job Requirements

  • A recognized degree with at least 10 years' experience in programme administration and implementation, education management, learning and development, preferably in higher education or large-scale corporate training settings.
  • Expertise in curriculum design, programme evaluation, and learning outcomes measurement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience, working across internal teams, academic units, external consultants, and vendors to co-deliver impactful and learner-centric programmes.
  • Competent with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and Student Administration Systems, with the ability to oversee course configuration, content deployment, enrolment management, assignment tracking, and grading workflows at scale.
  • Proficient in operational planning for large-scale credit-bearing and career education modules, including scheduling, student engagement, assessment milestones, and analytics-driven decision making.
  • Ability to manage budgets and prioritize resources for high-impact outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of digital tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Canva), with a high level of proficiency in leveraging technology to improve course delivery, communication, and reporting.
  • Skilled in student engagement strategies, including targeted email marketing, copywriting, and communications planning to drive participation in non-compulsory programmes.
  • Experienced in procurement processes and vendor management, including sourcing, contracting, budgeting, and quality assurance for external trainers and service providers.
  • Competent in data interpretation and impact reporting, using large datasets to monitor programme effectiveness, student satisfaction, and operational performance.

  • Competent in curriculum design, programme evaluation, and learning outcomes measurement.
  • Exceptional organisational, planning, and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder programmes from design through to execution and evaluation
  • Highly conscientious and detail-oriented, ensuring precision in managing course logistics, data tracking, communication workflows, and operational documentation at scale
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the capacity to identify trends, diagnose root causes of operational issues, and implement data-informed solutions for continuous improvement
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel and other data tools for data interpretation, reporting, and impact assessment
  • Resourceful and proactive problem-solver, adept at anticipating challenges and deploying practical, timely responses to ensure smooth programme delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and operational accuracy, especially in high-volume environments involving thousands of students, multiple platforms, and concurrent deadlines
  • Highly collaborative with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and deliver outcomes efficiently under tight timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling student messaging, produce clear and actionable reports, and engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, while also being highly self-directed and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, evolving environment
