Get to Know the Role

The role of an Assistant is to handle the warehouse operations by performing tasks such as receiving, unpacking, documenting incoming shipments, picking, packing, sorting outgoing orders, managing inventory, maintaining warehouse cleanliness and providing administrative support for inventory and shipping departments. Key duties involve using warehouse management systems, maintaining inventory accuracy, performing quality checks on products and packaging. You will be required to carry up to 25kg of materials and operate material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack and trolley to transport incoming raw materials and finished goods to designated storage area.

• Responsible for all warehouse related matters receiving and checking inbound goods, storage, picking/packing and manage packaging supplies.
• Unpack and inspect incoming items for damage or defects, verifying the contents against packing list information.
• Use pick lists to locate and retrieve specific items from storage.
• Securely strap and pack items into cartons and palletization to prevent damage during transit, and stage cargo for pickup by couriers or transport services.
• Apply shipping labels, barcodes, and other necessary information to cartons.
• Perform quality checks to ensure product accuracy and that packaging is safe for transportation.
• Assisting with the physical movement of goods into and out of trucks and warehouse areas
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure cleanliness of working environment
• Ensure workplace safety is adhered
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Perform warehouse admin duties

Other Responsibilities

• Perform issuance of raw materials to support production operations in a timely manner
• Perform issuance of factory supplies (hairnet, face mask, gloves) to support production operations
• Perform stock count or cycle count on an adhoc/daily basis
• Data entry and keeping accurate records in a warehouse environment
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility and reporting any breakages or spills.

Skills and Competencies Profile

• Minimum GCE 'N' level and above
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in warehousing
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays (for urgent shipments)
• Good sense of urgency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
• Candidates are required to operate a forklift and required to carry boxes of raw materials (min. 25kg)
