Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Assistant Facilities Manager supports all aspects of facility operations and management.

  • Oversee day-to-day building operations (maintenance, janitorial, life-safety, engineering, and site services) in line with company and client standards.
  • Supervise building staff and vendors; manage staff in the absence of the Facilities Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, budgets, and financial reporting; assist in preparing capital plans and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports (safety logs, compliance records, manuals).
  • Respond promptly to maintenance and service requests; proactively inspect facilities to ensure optimal conditions.
  • Manage vendor relationships, insurance compliance, and coordinate claims.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate facility personnel to maintain positive staff relations.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in facility management, building operations, or a similar role.
  • Experience leading teams and managing external contractors.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes.

Working Conditions

  • This role may require occasional evening and weekend work in case of emergencies or major projects.
  • Physically capable to stand/walk for extended periods around the facilities.
  • This position covers a total area of 160,000 sqm across a cluster of properties. Candidates should be prepared for extensive site coverage, which will involve regular walking between locations to ensure operational standards are met.
