Position Summary
The Store Assistant is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. The role involves enhancing customer satisfaction, ensuring store upkeep and visual standards, maintaining stock levels, and engaging effectively with customers. The Store Assistant helps to foster a welcoming and positive environment for both customers and their pets.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards, reflecting HUFT's brand values and product quality
- Maintain a fully stocked store, anticipating customer demand and in trend product preferences
- Ascertain customers' needs and wants
- Recommend and display items that match customer needs
- Welcome and greet customers with a friendly and warm attitude
- Manage point-of-sale processes
- Actively involved in the receiving of new shipments and checking inventory
- Keep up to date with product information
- Accurately describe product features and benefits to enhance customer experience
- Follow all companies' policies and procedures, upholding the company standards and service excellence
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- Proven working experience in retail sales
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Customer service focused
- Team player will the support other staff members and engaging in a collaborative culture
- Animal Lover Preferred, with a genuine enthusiasm for enhancing the lives of pets and their pet parents
