ING in Asia Pacific

In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

ING offers both retail and wholesale banking services in Australia. ING's regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing in China and a 30% stake in TMBThanachart Bank in Thailand.

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

 

What does the Research Team do in ING?

We are a small team of three economists and one commodities strategist located across the region in Singapore, Hong Kong and Seoul. The Asia Pacific team is part of a larger Global Research department that has around 70 employees – mostly in Western Europe, but also CEE countries, and the US.

We provide support to our regional clients through presentations, published research and ad hoc requests. We have a strong media presence and are regularly on business TV and radio.

We support our local colleagues through forecasts, country deep dives, risk assessments, and data analysis. We support the global team by providing input to flagship publications.

What would you be doing?

Your job will be to help the economists and strategists by assisting them with data management, publication of reports, responding to regular requests for forecasts, and fielding requests from journalists and consensus publishers.
