The Product Specialist plays a critical role in promoting the firm's Asian investment capabilities, with a particular focus on Japan Equity and Asia Equity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with sales teams in Japan, Asia ex Japan, and other regions to promote in-house investment products
  • Working closely with investment teams to secure mandates and increase assets under management
  • Providing institutional-level coverage and service to existing clients and prospects, including market-related information and responses to RFPs
  • Organizing client and distributor training programs, including those tailored to the Japan market
  • Arranging meetings for Japanese clients and visitors
  • Communicating effectively with global product specialists to deliver value-added services to sales and clients

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial concepts and investment products, with expertise in Japan Equity or Asia ex Japan Equity
  • Additional experience in Asia Fixed Income is desirable
  • A self-reliant and proactive approach, with the ability to work credibly as a team player and leverage global resources
  • A high level of motivation and commitment to excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both Japanese and English (written and oral), particularly important for direct interaction with Japanese clients and collaboration with the Japan team
