In Southeast Asia, the business has established sales units across Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore, with the regional hub located in Singapore.
The Presales Engineer delivers technical expertise, guidance, and support to both the internal sales organization and external customers. The role is responsible for resolving technical challenges, optimizing the use of products and services, and supporting business growth. This position reports directly to the local Market/Sales Manager.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Support & Technical Advisory
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts (predominantly Aerospace clients) and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Analyze manufacturing challenges and provide tailored technical solutions.
- Conduct tool life analysis, optimization tests, and validate performance against customer objectives.
- Support implementation of recommended solutions and prepare profitability reports.
- Manage technical projects in collaboration with product specialists and project teams.
Sales Support
- Partner with Account Managers in presenting new products and solutions to customers.
- Contribute to sales planning and solution-selling strategies to enhance customer productivity and reduce costs.
- Record and maintain customer data, trial results, and opportunities in CRM systems.
Product & Market Development
- Support product launches and optimize use of existing product lines.
- Conduct trials of new products with selected customers and share results with internal teams.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends, providing feedback to engineering and product development teams.
Account & Partner Management
- Develop assigned accounts with clear sales targets and growth objectives.
- Support and collaborate with distributors and resellers to expand market share.
- Adopt a solution-based sales approach to drive revenue and strengthen long-term partnerships.
Profile Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ERP, and CRM tools.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM design software.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities.
