The role calls for a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to building proficiency in areas such as interpersonal communication, cultural sensitivity, student support and advising, operational planning and programme assessment, evaluation and research.
Job Description
As a member of the Student Affairs team, the Executive will contribute to the following key areas:
• Student Support: Provide direct support to students, particularly concerning financial aid, residential matters, academic progress and psychosocial well-being. This involves understanding and addressing the diverse needs of students to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Resilience and Wellness Programmes: Contribute toward planning and implementation of these efforts, including logistics administration and safety management. This includes collaborating with the Student Affairs team on wellness initiatives and partnering with the Student Council and the student body on community service projects and Special Interest Group activities.
• Personal and Professional Development: Provide administrative support for mentoring programmes, such as the school's leadership programme, advisory college system and career advising activities. This also includes coordinating individual development plans for students, facilitating students' personal and professional growth beyond the classroom.
The above responsibilities are supported by two critical functions that the candidate will focus on:
• Events Management: Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of student-led and institutional events, including logistics, communications, budgeting and stakeholders engagement. Provide guidance to student organisers on event proposals, safety protocols, budgeting and post-event evaluations.
• Student Leadership: Support the design, implementation and evaluation of student leadership initiatives, including training workshops, retreats and leadership recognition programmes. Work closely with student leaders to cultivate and advocate leadership competencies and ensure alignment of developmental goals and institutional values.
