This role will be key in ensuring supplier management, cost optimization, and timely procurement for customized products and junction box assembly. You will oversee a team of buyers, warehouse operators, and planners, while driving procurement strategies aligned with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, benchmark, and optimize purchasing conditions following the TCO concept
- Manage and develop suppliers in Singapore and Malaysia, conducting risk assessments and performance reviews
- Supervise procurement planning to meet customer expectations and project timelines
- Monitor and optimize stock levels to minimize cost and maximize availability
- Support sales and engineering teams (ETO/customized products) to ensure optimal plant performance
- Approve and expedite purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery
- Lead savings generation initiatives and provide reporting to management
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Planning, or equivalent
- At least 8 years' experience in procurement or sourcing management (project procurement preferred)
- Familiar with sheet metal, machining, and electronic supplier base in Singapore & Malaysia
- Strong communicator with proven supplier negotiation and development skills
- Resourceful, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Leadership experience managing small teams
