About the Role
The Career Coach plays a pivotal role in supporting adult learners and graduates as they transition into new careers in the technology sector. This role focuses on equipping individuals with employability skills, personalized career strategies, and continuous motivation to achieve successful employment outcomes.
The Career Coach works collaboratively with learners, employers, and internal teams to ensure every graduate maximises their potential and secures sustainable employment.
Career Coaching & Facilitation
- Conduct one-to-one coaching sessions to understand learners' goals, strengths, and challenges.
- Develop personalised career development roadmaps aligned with current industry trends and job opportunities.
- Provide guidance on resume writing, LinkedIn profiles, interview preparation, and personal branding.
- Motivate and hold learners accountable for progressing toward their career goals.
- Deliver engaging employability workshops and group coaching sessions on topics such as job search strategy, digital tools, and workplace readiness.
- Join virtual classes to present and share career insights, including evening sessions (approx. once per month).
Employer Partnerships & Industry Alignment
- Collaborate with employers and industry partners to identify job opportunities and match suitable graduates.
- Prepare learners for networking events, interviews, and career fairs.
- Provide feedback to internal teams to ensure our programs stay aligned with evolving market needs.
Reporting & Compliance
- Track learner progress and employment outcomes, maintaining accurate documentation for compliance and reporting.
- Identify at-risk learners and implement strategies to keep them engaged and on track.
About You
- Minimum 3 years' experience in career coaching, recruitment, training, or talent development.
- Strong knowledge of employability frameworks, job search techniques, and labour market trends, especially in the tech sector.
- Skilled in digital career tools (e.g. AI resume builders, interview prep platforms, LinkedIn).
- Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and guide adult learners.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working remotely with your own home office setup.
