The People team plays a crucial organisational role in Shopee by channeling important resources to key functions in the company. People are key to Shopee's growth, and as our business expands, so does the need to develop and support our employees.
About the Team:
The Regional People HR System team is responsible for all the internal HR Systems, such as Staff Profile Core System, Leave System, Attendance System, Learning System, etc. The team is responsible for receiving system requests from HR users and liaising with Product Managers/Developers to implement the features. The team is also responsible for exploring and implementing AI into day-to-day HR work to help HRs save effort and improve efficiency.
Job Description:
- Proof-of-Concept Development: Design and implement workplace-efficiency PoCs on our AI-agent platform, mainly for People Team processes
- Prompt Engineering: Develop, test, and refine prompts to improve AI model accuracy and usability
- Python Development: Write clean, maintainable Python code for PoC integrations, tooling, and dashboards
- Data Structures & Algorithms: Apply DSA principles to optimise code performance and model interactions
- Collaborate with Product Managers/Developers to implement the AI models on internal HR systems if needed
- Conduct training to business users about AI features
- Assist with simple HR systems features development and implementation (eg: review PRD, conduct UAT, etc)
- Assist with updating User Guides for various new features
- Provide support on any other tasks assigned by the reporting manager
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines
- Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with LLMs, and prompt-engineering techniques is a plus
- Demonstrate understanding of data structures and algorithms (coursework, projects, or competitions)
- Full-time interns preferred (3-6 months)
