Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Coordinator
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator to support our HSSEQ (Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality) operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) legislation, ensuring a safe and secure work environment for all employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the establishment, maintenance, and updating of WSH documentation and records in accordance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Review method statements and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with the WSH Act and subsidiary legislation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to WSH regulations, company safety management systems, and client requirements.
  • Perform daily inspections to identify unsafe acts or conditions and recommend corrective measures.
  • Support the implementation of practicable safety measures to mitigate risks and improve workplace safety.
  • Conduct and prepare reports for internal/external audits, client assessments, authority inspections, emergency drills, and security exercises.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure maintenance of emergency and fire safety equipment.
  • Carry out monthly fire alarm testing.
  • Plan, develop, and deliver HSSEQ training for employees, contractors, hauliers, and visitors.
  • Respond to non-conformities, near misses, and incidents—conduct investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee site security operations and manage the appointed security agency to ensure 24-hour site protection.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the superior and cover responsibilities in the absence of team members.
Job Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment, demonstrating strong operational awareness, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience , preferably in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics industries.
  • At least 1 year of working experience on Jurong Island (must be willing and able to work on Jurong Island).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Physically able to work at height and climb cat ladders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other internal software systems.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive and responsible work approach.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B) and/or other relevant Safety Certificates.
  • WSH Coordinator Refresher Course completed.
  • Confined Space Assessor Certificate (advantage).
  • ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Internal Auditor training (advantage).
