**Job Summary**

You will be part of the team in inventory planning, forecasting, organizing and managing all sourcing and purchasing activities to meet customer’s and organisation’s objectives. You are expected to identify and qualify vendors, conduct vendor research and selection, monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance to service standards. You will also ensure quality of purchased products and compliance with Company’s quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:
**Supply Development**
- . To source, evaluate and negotiate with the objective of securing best value for money package for goods/products/services in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers.
- Identify and develop existing/new suppliers/manufacturers to continuously improve support on cost, delivery or quality of products, including and not limited to on-site inspections of manufacturing sites, local or overseas, as may be required.
- To source for new suppliers/sub-contractors. Assess, qualify, monitor and audit their costs and performance to ensure compliance to Company’s requirements, service standards and objectives.
- Lead/Assist Product Development / Product Management and Management in sourcing, conduct liaison activities, up to and including the management of OEM/ODM suppliers.
- Source, locally and overseas, for products not supplied by the Company's regular principals/suppliers, including and not limited to new products and accessories.
- Participate in discussions with different functional teams to provide reliable delivery timetables to customers, fine-tune the planning and its daily implementation and participate in problem-solving action plans.
- Drive Supply Chain optimization initiatives by working with Sales Team and Management to better evaluate rolling demand and capacity projections.
- Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and lead time.
- Organise frequent periodic reviews to develop/collate forecasts with Sales, Product Development, Product Management and Management.
- Perform risk and cost management for supply contracts and agreements, which includes foreseeing alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients during negotiations.
- Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders/projects.

**Operations/Procurement Management**
- Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issue purchase orders in accordance with Company policies and negotiated terms and conditions.
- Compile, maintain information and proper record keeping to facilitate purchase function.
- Coordinate, monitor and ensure suppliers' consistently high quality and on time delivery.
- Define sourcing strategy or vendors / suppliers / distributors with relevant departments to achieve cost savings that are in alignment with the company’s objectives
- Reconcile shipments, short and back orders, and damaged items including and not limited to handling and monitoring of claims to factories/vendors/principals for defective products, shortage and or missing parts.
- Evaluate the best shipping term, optimise on economies of scale, and liaise with forwarders on services and costs as well as ensuring insurance declaration and other relevant documentation as may be required, in the arrangement of shipment.
- Coordinate with Finance Dept on payment arrangements to suppliers. Ensure international payments via bank credit facilities are augmented by relevant documentation procured timely from suppliers.
- Track annual purchasing commitments to principals. Provide timely purchase history reports to support Product Management Team and Management in designing and planning product strategies.
- Anticipate/address pitfalls in the procurement process and implement effective measures to mitigate the risks.
- Build knowledge and ability to maintain long term relationship with all stakeholders and suppliers

**Inventory Management**
- Plan and manage inventory levels in line with Company's policy and approved capital investment on inventory.
- Provide assistance/advice/updates to other function groups on matters relating to inventory purchases and purchase cycles.
- Review stock purchase by monitoring market conditions, current stock levels, lead-time required for manufacturing, potential price increase, anticipation of new orders from customers and or supplier conditions.
- Manage the Obsolete stock. Provide records and report on the Obsolete stock to Product Management and Sales Teams to facilitate strategy planning to turn the stock into cash.
- Work closely with the Warehouse team on inventory management of goods in the warehouse. Update team members on incoming shipments, ensure sufficient and appropriate storage and conditions for goods, assess and make recommendations on 3rd party warehouse and logistics needs.
- Work closely with Finance Dept. to reconcile the inventory accounts and improve on inventory management systems
