The ING Financial Institutions Advisory, Asia team is looking to hire an experienced analyst / associate based in Singapore.

ING Financial Institutions Advisory, Asia provides strategic and financial advice to Asian financial institution clients on a comprehensive range of transactions including sell-side and buy-side advisory, mergers, public offers, management & leveraged buyouts, takeover defense assistance and corporate restructuring. We also work with the ING Capital Markets teams on Equity and Debt Capital Markets transactions, such as initial public offerings, rights issues and Additional Tier 1 issuances for banks.

The global team has a strong track record and consists of more than 20 professionals in Amsterdam, London and Singapore with a focus on banks, insurers, asset managers, finance and leasing companies.

In this job, you will become an integral member of the team and work on transformational transactions for leading financial institutions, with a focus on Southeast Asia.

**Job description**
- Conduct research and analysis on markets, companies and industries in Asia Pacific;
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials to support origination efforts and maintenance of client relationships;
- Lead and coordinate the execution of mandated transactions, under the supervision of VP/Director, through:

- Client management and managing day-to-day deal work: build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors;
- Facilitating due diligence and participation in due diligence meetings / discussions;
- Financial analyses and building financial models to value companies and businesses: constructing and reviewing valuation and other financial outputs;
- Preparing client investment memoranda, Board or Investment Committee presentations, specific debt and equity agreements and other documentation in connection with the transactions;
- Assisting in legal negotiations and regulatory approvals (as applicable);
- Identifying risks and possible solutions in the course of execution;
- Meeting the transaction timetable, including engagement with stakeholders to ensure key milestones are met;
- Work collaboratively with other ING departments, such as the Financial Institutions sector, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets and Financial Markets; and
- Support on internal administrative matters, such as engagement letters and invoices, pre-deal committee approvals, compliance clearances, end-of-engagement close out procedures etc.

**Your profile and competencies**
- At least 2 years of work experience in the Financial Institutions sector or in M&A;
- Self-motivated, takes initiative and strong team player;
- Relishes challenging tasks and able to manage change and complexity with confidence;
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong analytical abilities and understanding of financial statement analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations;
- Strong financial modelling skills;
- Experienced in Excel and PowerPoint programs;
- Strong academic achievements with genuine interest in Banking and Finance;
- Fluent in English (written and verbal), proficiency in a 2nd Asian language will be an advantage;
- Willingness for extensive travel within the Asian region.
