**Analyst / Associate within Capital Structuring & Advisory Asia**

We are looking to hire an Analyst / Associate for our Capital Structuring & Advisory (“**CS&A**”) team in Singapore. In this role, you will play an active advisory role in the origination, structuring and execution of event driven, transformational, complex and multi-product financing solutions as part of **ING’s Capital Markets & Advisory** which comprises of M&A, Capital Markets and Structured/ Leveraged Financing functions. In addition, the team also provides capital structure, and strategic advisory on fundraising options to ING's highest tier of Asian clients across all sectors, working alongside with relationship managers and the various product teams to structure, originate, execute and implement an optimal capital structure. The team also contributes to workstreams as part of ratings advisory mandates.

CS&A captures event driven, complex, multi-product financing opportunities, often transformational in nature as well as M&A and strategic advisory. Transformational situations including multi-product merger and acquisitions, major refinancing, balance sheet restructurings, take-over defence situations, pre-IPO and post-IPO financings and strategic capital investments. These types of dynamic situations often require a swift response and a strong sense for the inherent sensitivities of all stakeholders.

**Description of the role**
- Supporting origination initiatives through jointly working with colleagues within Sector and Product teams on the origination and execution of a wide range of advisory, financing and hedging solutions
- Preparing complex financial models
- Doing industry, (implied) rating profile and peer group analysis
- Preparing presentations and pitch books regarding strategic advisory across integrated debt (bonds, loans), M&A, equity and hedging solutions
- Assisting in preparing external documents such as term sheets, offering/ info memos, and prospectuses as well as the preparation and coordination of internal approval documents and credit memos
- Assisting and analysing due diligence information and review transaction documentation
- Contributing and supporting the execution of transaction (advisory/ financing) processes
- Maintaining active contacts with other functions, such as Sectors, Risk Management, Corporate Finance (M&A), Syndications, DCM, Financial Markets, etc.

**Your work environment**

Part of the Singapore based team (3 professionals) that is an integral part of the broader CS&A Asia Pacific team, that includes Hong Kong (2 professionals). CS&A further consists of a global platform of c. 45 professionals in Amsterdam, Brussels, Singapore, Germany, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and Madrid. The team is involved in high profile deals with significant internal and public exposure. Given the size of the team you will quickly be given opportunity to grow and develop by taking ownership of parts of the different client projects.

**Your profile
**Knowledge and experience:

- Education: university degree preferably in banking & finance, accounting, economics or equivalent
- 1- 4 years of experience in Corporate Financing, Structured/ Leverage Finance, Sector Coverage, Strategic Advisory, Capital Markets or Investment Banking
- Fluent in English (verbal and writing) and Mandarin given the focus on the Greater China client base
