Senior Specialist Trade Finance

**Job purpose**:
The GS-Ops TCC Senior Specialist Trade Finance is, with due consideration of all internal and regulatory requirements and within the agreed deadlines, responsible for processing of the trade finance business for customers, as well as for providing specialized and process-driven advice within his/her sphere of activity. In so doing, he works closely with FK TF-CM Allrounder Cash/Trade Sales International, FK TF-CM Specialist Cash/Trade Sales International, FK-TF-CM Advisor Trade Services International, FK-TF-CM Assistant Trade Services International and Relationship Managers, and other department stakeholders that deal with corporate customers, whom he supports by providing pertinent information in a team-oriented manner.

**Key activities**:
Providing specialized, process-oriented advice, Customers are advised with due consideration given to their specific needs and the bank’s operational requirements

He assumes the middle office role for all Trade Finance Products/Process by liaising with TPC KL /Clients/CTS Sales including performing the pre-processing and post processing tasks.

He assumes the validator role of ELC Advising/Amendment /Confirmation /Export/Import Presentation/Payment and Financing transactions for top tier clients which processing was handled by TPC KL.

Helps subordinate colleagues to develop professionally and reach their full potential in line with the opportunities provided by the company.

Ensuring compliance with first line of defense responsibilities

He may also be required to act as a speaker within the framework of the bank’s qualification measures and events with corporate customers

Responsibility for warranty of occupational health and safety and health protection for all employees of his/her unit

The GS-Ops TCC Senior Specialist Trade Finance is authorized to check documents up to a certain level without supervision. he exercises this authority in a responsible manner and in accordance with the regulations.

Supporting the FK-TF-CM Allrounder Cash/Trade Sales International, FK-TF-CM Specialist Cash/Trade Sales International, FK-TF-CM Advisor Trade Service International, FK-TF-CM Assistant Trade Services International, and Relationship Managers in an advisory role

**Formal education**:

- Apprenticeship in banking, preferably completed with ‘Bankfachwirt’, or
- Completed Dual Study (combination of apprenticeship or job with university or university of applied science), or
- Completed University or University of Applied Science study, or
- Proof of other adequate qualification

**Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification)**:

- Comprehensive knowledge of internal and external regulations, guidelines and related workflows in the area of responsibility (including Sanctions, Embargos, Anti Money Laundering, Know Your Customer, Fraud Prevention, Countering Terrorist Financing, Financial Crime, Anti-Bribery and Corruption rules and First Line of Defence Activities)
- Fluency in local language, English

- Unassisted and compliant handling of recurring daily business routines with regular and enhanced complexity in accordance with internal and external regulations and within the agreed deadlines

- Coaching of junior level staff with respect to all aspects of documentary and guarantee business

- Approval and oversight of the processing of the daily workflow for the team members
- Independent judgment and decision making with limited guidance and supervision
- Providing guidance regarding the handling of documentary and guarantee business with high complexity
- Interface to global functional lead / product management and support functions (e.g. Compliance)
- Support of the FK-TF-CM TL Documentary & Guarantee Business International and professional representation of the FK-TF-CM TL Documentary & Guarantee Business International in case of his/her absence
- Participation in global projects and management of local projects in the area of responsibility (e.g. IT adjustments)
- Extensive, in-depth knowledge of the pertinent rules published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) with regards to trade finance business
- Involvement in the creation and maintenance of local procedures and desktop procedures
- Participation in local industry working groups (e.g. BAFT)
