Job Title: Trade Finance Specialist

A seasoned professional with a passion for trade finance, we are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Trade Finance Specialist.

  • We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of AWS, VB, and Trade Finance expertise, including Letters of Credit (LC), Import/Export, and Energy or Commodities experience.

  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and coordination skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and negotiate sales and purchase contracts for international trade, ensuring seamless transactions and timely deliveries.

  2. Handle complex trade finance instruments, including LCs, trust receipts, freight loans, export LCs, and discounting services, to facilitate smooth trade operations.

  3. Apply for and manage LCs, amendments, and master LCs to guarantee efficient trade transactions.

  4. Oversee import payments and export receipts, monitor remittances, and resolve related issues promptly.

  5. Collaborate with banks to manage remittance operations, monitor facility limits, and support cash flow tracking and reporting.

  6. Liaise with suppliers, customers, financial institutions, ship owners, and brokers to ensure efficient trade transactions.

  7. Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping of all trade transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  8. Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management to drive business growth and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Diploma qualification or equivalent in a relevant field, such as trade finance, international trade, or a related discipline.

  • At least 2 years of experience in trade operations, preferably in the energy or commodities sector.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
