**Responsibilities
- Oversee project engineering plans and delivery.
- Provide technical leadership for the engineering team.
- Architect, design and implementation of high performance multiplayer networking code.
- Use existing or develop custom networking tools to view/debug network status or measure networking performance.
- Work closely with other technology teams to provide highly integrated online services and multiplayer technology.
- Work closely with game team to implement high quality multiplayer gameplay.
- Provide a complete and accurate task list and schedule for the team.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other engineers.
- Conduct code review or other processes to uphold the team’s code quality.

**Requirements**:

- Specialize in network programming and multiplayer development.
- Extensive knowledge of mathematics, and C/C++ programming and debugging.
- At least 8 years of game development experience, including on game consoles.
- Extensive knowledge of game network programming topics, such as multithreading and concurrency, strategies for data replication, bandwidth/latency optimisation, network error-handling, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of online services provided by first party platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud computing services (e.g. AWS, Azure) or BaaS (e.g. PlayFab) a plus.
- Experienced with working on multiplayer code inside Unreal Engine or other game engines.
- 2+ years of experience as an engineering lead with at least 1 shipped title.
- Self-motivated, independent, enthusiastic, team player with a positive attitude.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Passion for making and playing innovative games.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills required.
